Founded by five orchestras from different countries, the movement will hold its first conference on 23 and 24 June 2023 at La Seine Musicale. This international conference will also be the occasion to launch the digital platform LaDocumenta.eu.

LaDocumenta.eu is a resource-sharing platform whose founding members are Concentus Musicus Wien (Stefan Gottfried), Accademia Bizantina (Ottavio Dantone), Insula orchestra (Laurence Equilbey), Les Arts Florissants (William Christie, Paul Agnew), the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble (Thomas Hengelbrock) and Collegium 1704 (Václav Luks).

This platform hosts the resources of these international orchestras. Those activated during their productions, in order to enlighten the works, or to transmit interpretation secrets. LaDocumenta.eu platform will be linked to the most important European resource centres and will meet the challenges of education, transmission and interpretation for professionals, students and amateurs.

We look forward to seeing you at the official launch of LaDocumenta.eu, during the international conference of orchestras playing on period instruments, at La Seine Musicale.

Feverish, intense and tragic, Mozart’s 40th Symphony is one of the only symphonies he wrote on a minor scale. “A piece from which every note is pure gold, each part a treasure”, wrote Robert Schumann, in awe of this score which prefigures Romanticism. Once again, we are happy to welcome the Concentus Musicus Wien, legendary orchestra founded by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, at the Seine Musicale. They will also perform Mozart’s Second violin concerto alongside Erich Hobarth.

          Informations & reservation

Although he only wrote one concerto for the clarinet, Mozart was particularly fond of this instrument. Leading Insula orchestra, Laurence Equilbey will conduct this lyrical and inspired score in partnership with the virtuosic Pierre Génisson, who plays a period clarinet. Written almost ten years prior, the impetuous “Haffner” Symphony entices us with its Viennese charms and impresses us with its great vitality.
