Requiem by Yoann Bourgeois

Think you know Mozart’s Requiem by heart? Think again! Forget the versions completed by his pupil Süssmayr or by others — here is the unfinished work as Mozart wrote it before his untimely death. Circus artist Yoann Bourgeois’s reading of the Requiem’s fragments explores the silences of the unfinished score. On stage, eight acrobat-dancers give resonance to the void left by Mozart’s death, between suspension and disappearance.
