Mozart by David Lescot
Programme
Mozart, a special day
When a great American musicologist – H. C. Robbins Landon – becomes impassioned about his favourite composer, the result is a gripping novel about Mozart’s last working day, before he finally took to his bed. The works directly quoted in the book are echoed by excerpts from two highly mature works: the Symphony No. 39 and the Piano Concerto No. 27, under the direction of Laurence Equilbey and in a staging by David Lescot.
