Fidelio by David Bobée

Programme

For its new staged creation, Insula orchestra renews its collaboration with David Bobée, after the success of La Nonne sanglante. This time, they offer their vision of Beethoven’s only opera: Fidelio. In this ode to justice and freedom, the courageous Leonore, disguised as a man, tries to free her husband from prison — arbitrarily imprisoned for political ends — here performed for the first time by the valiant Stanislas de Barbeyrac.

Performances in May 2022.
