À propos

From Spain to the Americas, Christina Pluhar and L’Arpeggiata build bridges between Baroque and folk traditions. A musical journey filled with entrancing rhythms.

L’Arpeggiata never ceases to take us between the Old and New Worlds. This time, the ensemble follows a new musical path, retracing the routes of Spanish galleons laden with gold, which for centuries sailed the seas from the Torre del Oro in Seville to the Americas. On the program: ancient solo songs with instrumental accompaniment, traditional music from Spain, and also from South America, where Baroque melodies and instruments remain a living part of traditional culture. A must-see.

This concert is interpreted on period instruments.

This concert is produced by the Hauts-de-Seine Department and Insula Orchestra.
