À propos
Haydn, Beethoven, and Kraus engage in a musical dialogue in this program where the string quartet unfolds its entire palette. Performing on period instruments, the Landolfi Quartet restores these works to their original brilliance, capturing the true sound and spirit of the composers.
With passionate determination, they continue their exploration of the period string quartet repertoire in a program that will take us from the Classical era to the dawn of Romanticism. They will perform one of Haydn’s final feats—the extraordinary ‘Sunrise’—as well as Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 4.
Finally, they offer the chance to rediscover Joseph Martin Kraus, the “Swedish Mozart,” once praised even by “Papa Haydn” for his exceptional talent.”
This concert is interpreted on period instruments.
