Leading the Orchestre national de Lyon, Speranza Scappucci directs Brahm’s famous Double Concerto. This form, quite rare for the 19th century, will highlight Anne Gastinel’s luminous cello and Alena Martucci’s violin. This concert will then continue on the theme of strong affinities with pieces by Martucci, the composer responsible for the spread of Brahms’ music in Italy, and of Respighi, once his student.
