À propos

Sublime voices and orchestral brilliance unite in a luminous dialogue between Bach and Mozart.

Laurence Equilbey returns to her first love—vocal music—by pairing accentus with Insula orchestra and staging a dialogue between two masterpieces: the Magnificat by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Mozart’s Coronation Mass, one of his emblematic masses.

Vast, powerful frescoes and peaks of lyrical emotion, these monumental works serve as the perfect showcase for an impressive array of soloists, including Sandrine Piau, a steadfast favorite of Insula orchestra who has previously recorded Mozart’s mass with Laurence Equilbey.

This concert is performed on period instruments.

This concert is produced by the Hauts-de-Seine Department and Insula Orchestra.
