À propos
A summit meeting. Les Arts Florissants and Maud Le Pladec, choreographer of the Olympic Games, fuse Baroque music and urban dance in a visually explosive and resolutely modern show.
Concerto danzante shatters the boundaries between Baroque music and contemporary dance. From Vivaldi to Bach, the show offers a living journey through the history of the concerto, enriched by an unexpected dialogue with contemporary dance.
On stage, two creations respond to each other, performed by the CCN—Ballet de Lorraine. Around Vivaldi, Josépha Madoki imagines a dialogue as daring as it is electrifying with waacking, an urban dance style with a strong theatrical dimension. Around Bach, Maud Le Pladec deploys a powerful choreographic language, reaching towards the very essence of the concerto.
Les Arts Florissants, conducted by violinist and director Théotime Langlois de Swarte, bring an irresistible musical energy to this encounter.
Concert performed on period instruments; amplified.
