À propos

Winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Jonathan Fournel brings together Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert and Medtner in a recital where Romanticism is revealed in chiaroscuro.

Since winning First Prize at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2021, pianist Jonathan Fournel has come a long way… Armed with breathtaking technique and driven by a refined mix of instinct and research, the pianist offers an eclectic program for his first appearance at La Seine Musicale.

Alongside works by three masters of European Romanticism—Beethoven, Chopin and Schubert—Fournel also features a piece by a still too unfairly overlooked composer of early 20th-century Russia: Nikolai Medtner.

This concert is produced by the Hauts-de-Seine Department and Insula Orchestra.
