Beethoven is most probably François-Frédéric Guy’s favourite composer. According to him, his Sonata n°32 “elevates the human mind to unknown and sacred regions”. But the pianist also explores new romantic sensibilities through performing Frédéric Chopin. A nocturne, a ballad and a sonata help display a glimpse of the style, virtuosity and audacity of the most French of all Polish composers.
