From Bizet to Carmen, there’s only one step… or rather several! Insula orchestra closes its season with a moving staging of this legendary opera, a veritable ode to the freedom fiercely defended by the indomitable Carmen. And speaking of freedom…
Stage director Jeanne Desoubeaux offers “her” Carmen in three locations, three sets, three challenges. Ten artists and a reduced orchestra for a staging that moves through three places in La Seine Musicale, to be discovered progressively, in a modern and original vision of Carmen.
