À propos

Great masters, new masterpieces! Italian conductor Andrea Marcon, renowned for his interpretations of the Baroque repertoire, leads Insula orchestra in a programme devoted to the German classics.

From Kraus, nicknamed the ‘Swedish Mozart’, to the fantastic genius of Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach, Insula orchestra tells the story of the vibrant German lands at the end of the 18th century, that pivotal moment on the threshold of the Beethovenian revolution.
The birth of the modern orchestra, interaction between composers, the emergence of the symphonic genre: each of these three masters, in his own way, laid the foundations of the orchestra.

This concert is performed on period instruments.

This concert is produced by the Département des Hauts-de-Seine and Insula orchestra.
