Orfeo 55 / Nathalie Stutzmann

Orfeo 55/ Nathalie Stutzmann

1h30 with an interval

Antonio Vivaldi
Arie Antiche per le donne
Francesco Cavalli, Alessandro Scarlatti

Maybe some fairy godmother presided over Nathalie Stutzmann’s cradle. The singer’s magnificent contralto timbre has earned her international renown, and her career as conductor took off in 2009, the year in which she founded her chamber orchestra, Orfeo 55, due to become in just a few years one of the leading Baroque ensembles. It is with them precisely that she accomplishes the rare feat of simultaneously singing and conducting Vivaldi’s Arie antiche per le donne.

16 February 2018 - 20h30
