Splendours of Roman polyphony
⚠️ CANCELLATION ⚠️
Due to the measures taken as part of the health crisis, we regret to announce the cancellation of the Alarcón / accentus / Cappella Mediterranea Splendours of Roman Polyphony concert originally scheduled for December 17, 2020.
programme
The conductor Leonardo García Alarcón takes us on a journey in the footsteps of Gregorio Allegri, the author of the famous Miserere, and then on those of the ‘Italian Orpheus’ Alessandro Scarlatti, and introduces us to the splendid music of Giovanni Giorgi. Alternating mythical works and rarities, this concert, conceived as a great oratorio, reveals the splendours of Italian polyphony, with a writing as virtuoso as it is radiant.
