Associating the accordion with the music of Mozart is the challenge taken up by the Wiener Concert-Verein, with guest Richard Galliano for a crossover concert in which the celebrated Eine kleine nachtmusik shares the bill with the tango rhythms of the Opale concerto, while the classical aesthetic rubs shoulders with the sound of popular French waltzes, the valse-musette. Estonian conductor Kristiina Poska takes up the challenge for a concert that is generous and invigorating in equal measure.
