program
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Sonate pour piano à quatre mains K.497
Paul Hindemith
Sonate à quatre mains
Ludwig van Beethoven
Grande Fugue op. 134
Complicity and dialogue are classic characteristics of four-hand piano pieces and more specifically of the rapport between Manuel Vieillard and David Salmon. In this concert, the duo, who have been playing together since 2012, journey through three centuries of four-hand keyboard works. On the same bill as Mozart’s almost orchestral Sonata K. 497, they interpret Beethoven’s Great Fugue in a transcription by the composer himself and, in a more modern vein, Paul Hindemith’s Sonata for 4 Hands.
